Aries Philosophy:
Existentialism: Regards human existence as unexplainable and stresses freedom of choice. The essence of existentialism is the simple and direct action and decisiveness of Aries in a world that to some appears confusing, or complex beyond understanding.
Just Do It Philosophy.
Taurus Philosophy:
Materialism: the philosophical theory that physical matter in its movement and modifications is the only reality. Most astrologers will readily agree on the rulership of solid, substantial Taurus over materialism.
David Hume relates all things to Newton’s Theory “all things are in motion.”
Virgina Woolf’s A Room of Her Own emphasizes having 4500 a month and a room enabled women or any writer to succeed in literature.
Gemini Philosophy:
Rationalism: the theory that exercise of reason provides the only valid basis for action or belief. The rulership of rationalism by Gemini is another easy one to see by astrologers.
Immanual Kant with Critique of Pure Reason fits Rationalism.
Cancer Philosophy:
Positivism: the view that experience, especially of the senses, is the only source of knowledge--common sense. Cancer rules positivism and this can be seen in America with its Sun and three planets, including Mercury, in Cancer.

Leo Philosophy:
Phenomenology: the study of all possible appearances in human experience, during which considerations of objective reality and of purely subjective response are temporarily left out.Phenomenology, ruled by Leo, is a comparatively recent development in the history of philosophy. The essence of it is to center (Sun) all the components-appearances (planets).
Fredrick Nietzsche’s Will to Power is essential Leo/the Sun where one’s Will is everything.
Martin Heddeger can be associated with Phenomenology.
Virgo Philosophy:
Analysis: the dissection of intellectual wholeness into a system of parts, the nature and
interconnections of which are clearly understood. Austrian-born English philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951) pioneered and promoted analytical philosophy to such extremes that he rejected and blocked all "craving for generality" and "unity."
Fredrich Hegel or Hegelism is a complete analytical system building philosophy. For Hegel Understanding pulls things apart but Unity-Reason put all back together in a new solutional way.
Libra Philosophy:
Art: the theory that we can go no further in philosophy without adding a standardize meaning, abstract art. Libra rules philosophy that will use the right side of the brain to dominate the explosion of specialized details with pictures, patterns, diagrams, drawings--CONstructs. Around the turn of the millennium the American philosopher class will be learning to design and draw CONstructs, along with millions of average Americans, for amazingly greater meaning and purpose of life.
John Dewey emphasized action but more importantly that no facts exist without their corresponding value applied to that fact. So you have a balance of fact-value in their meeting point the interlocking loops. This balance between fact and value is where solutions to philosophical problems applicable to today’s situations can be found.
Scorpio Philosophy:
Pragmatism: the meaning of a proposition or course of action lies in its observable consequences and that the sum of these consequences constitute its meaning. Pragmatism is ruled by secretive Scorpio, where development is hidden.
Several philosophers were interested in pragmatism, John Dewey, Fredrich Nietzche, Schopenhauer, David Hume, John Satre.
Sagittarius Philosophy:
Idealism: Refers to any view that stresses the central role of the ideal or the spiritual in man's interpretation of experience. Idealism, ruled by Sagittarius, includes philosophy, religion and law.
Aristole, Soren kerkeggard,
Capricorn Philosophy:
Scientism: the theory that investigational methods used in the natural sciences should be applied in all fields of inquiry. Some thinkers say that science is organized (Capricorn) common sense (Cancer).
David Hume, Fredrich Hegel, John Dewey looked to the natural sciences for new philosophical insights.
Aquarius Philosophy:
Transcendentalism: the belief that knowledge of reality is derived from intuitive sources
rather than objective experience. Many astrologers realize that intuition is ruled by Aquarius.
Pisces Philosophy:
Theosophy: the religious philosophy of speculation based on mystical insight into the nature of God/dess and divine teachings. Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, rules philosophy that goes beyond the spiritual-eternal into infinity.
Most Religions have a Pisces Philosophy at their core.

CRABS IN THE CAN PHILOSOPHY

This is Chapter 2 of Abyss and Philosophy. Earlier we discussedPhilosophical paths A, B, C and D. We discuss the reluctance to admit following any of these paths. We discussed the great fear—that we are the Abyss. Today I’ll put forth the continuation of this fear. In fact, so fearful is humanity of this Great Truth each philosophical path group reacts like crabs in a huge can. As soon as one crab tries to climb out, another climbs onto their back and tries to escape first.
Yes, this seems humorous. The humor turns tragic when the second crab finds the third crab standing on his/her head or claws reaching upward. Instead of an orderly perspective, we can all help one another out of this can, each crab takes an hierarchical view: I must get out first. No one will help me get out when they’re free! They’ll just claw and run away! This disorderly procession causes all the crabs, no matter how close they get to freedom, to crash back down. Each crab seeks freedom. And freedom comes in many names capitalism, communism, socialism, classism, sexism, racism, nationalism, regionalism, poorly practiced religions and misguided philosophies and incomplete educational systems of thought like evolution or biology or psychology for example.
Indeed, this seems to be the case; no one wants to help others out when they are free. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer expresses such thinking well. This is a fact. Over and over. Society after society no matter what the construction reverts to this Crabs in the Can subphilosophy of The Abyss and Philosophy. If you view, The Abyss and Philosophy as the emanating circle movement outward – all other subphilosophies are lesser expressional waves. Rich get richer and poor get poorer until the whole line of climbing crabs, burdened by their fearful struggle with one another, all come tumbling back down into the Can of Ignorance. No one any better off or any clearer about life at all. Life is viewed as a complete manifestation of busy, busy work. “Keep moving.” “Stay active.” “Go faster.” Endless production of work getting nowhere fast but full of an earnestness striving for something—they know not what!
One group or class blames another for pulling them all back down in the Can of Misery. If only all the poorer people would spend more our economy would recover. The rich and powerful avoid their fair share, but take all the profits. In the end, before anyone gets anywhere, the tangled line of crabs crashes back down to start anew.
All this may seem rather mysterious. But consider these mysterious actions of each philosophical path:
1. Each path keeps its own members in check or down in the can.
2. Each path tries frantically to recruit or convert new members from the other paths.
3. Each path swears their path is the true path.
4. Each path has no true or courageous interest in helping their fellow crabs and believes none will help them if they got free first.
5. Each path can produce entire libraries supporting their path as the ultimate reality and ultimate rationalism.
6. Each path strives to miseducate the other paths.
7. Each path falls into massive group-think, relying on the experts of its individual path and cannot see the forest.
8. Each path is at peace, strangely enough, when all this busy work activity and climbing and falling and no one getting out, takes place.
9. Each path will creates vast sneaky, misguiding schemes to induce, force, trick, convert, and motivate other paths to their point of view at any cost.
10. Each path feels satisfied when every crab remains in the Can of Crabs and unable to confront the Great Truth.
Perhaps the greatest mystery each group promotes is technology as a sign their path is correct, as sign humanity moving on toward progress on the Great Truth Path seeking the Abyss. Technology, it can be argued effectively, only makes matters worse. Technology only puts more power in the hands of fewer ignorant and fearful crabs, who in turn will use it to do the ten mysterious actions listed above. Technology, when all is said and done, only shifts the problems into new formations. Technology allows one to say now I didn’t personally do anything. My technological tool made me do it. Technology simply allows us one more object to see clear through or over, before we can grasp the Great Path of the Abyss. One turns on the light, computer to read, or goes on the Internet. Nevertheless, the same useless busy work, production, production, production goes on. Each path tossing their favorite words and strategies at other paths to gain control and converts to the four lesser paths. As knowledge and technology increases, the soul weakens.
For every advance technology makes, someone finds a corresponding misadvance using that same technology. Technology is famous for doing two things:
1. Good and Evil (although the most ignorant crabs try to keep their majority crabs from knowing about this evil side.).
2. Technology is always used against all the crabs eventually!
What are we crabs to do?
1. Be aware of manufactured massive group-think of each path.
2. Be aware of the Great Abyss and your relationship to it.
3. Be aware when all is said and done, if done incorrectly, the Great Abyss simply starts the game all over again. Reset. Down in the can.
